CSSS Social-Sports committee is delighted to invite every Computer Science student to participate in the Innertube Water Polo tournament, which will be taking place on Thursday Nov 6, 2008 at the UBC Aquatic Centre. Each participating team can have up to 15 people, and the registration process is simple for all of you who are interested.

The Artona Group Inc. is the official photographer for the UBC Computer Science graduating class of 2012–2013!
Book online to reserve a 30 minute appointment with 20 different poses, 5 different backgrounds, 2 casual outfits, traditional cap and gown shots, and the opportunity to bring significant others or family members to a total of 6 people. Appointments open up 12 weeks in advance and typically fill 7–10 days prior.
Just want to do a quick photo for the composite? All students will still register their contact information and a deposit upon arrival at the studio.

Just in time for the start of term is a barbeque! Our barbeques have always been a popular and culinary success with your friendly neighbourhood CSSS execs behind the grill. Everybody is invited!
Prices are $2 for a burger and 50 cents for a sweet tasting carbonated beverage otherwise known as a “pop”. First year CS students get a free burger upon display of their student ID card and answer to a skill testing question to verify CS student status (okay, we were joking about the last part).
Interested in joining UBC Computer Science at this year’s Vancouver Sun Run? The race is on April 23, at 9:00 a.m. and would be a great way to take a short break from studying for finals and to support a number good causes. The cost to register is $35. Early registration for Corporate teams ends on February 10. After that, registration is $40, so be sure to register early.
